Do you have trouble drinking water???

I used to too!! I literally never drank it.

A good way to train your body to get used to drinking more water is to add some fresh lemon to warm water 30 minutes before meals. This makes it taste different, reminds you to drink it and will help get your digestive system going. Triple win!

An easy way to add some flavor to your water is to add fresh veggies or fruit to your water. I personally love cucumbers in mine!

Some other ways to add flavor to your water are by adding electrolytes. Since your body cannot make minerals/electrolytes on it’s own, this is a great way to make sure that you are staying properly hydrated.

There are many different powders that can be added to drinks that have various flavors. Make sure that there is no sugar added in the ingredients list when looking at available options. Here is my family’s personal favorite.

Another way is to add 1/8 tsp of Celtic Sea Salt or Baja Gold Sea Salt to 8 ounces of water along with the fresh juice from a lemon. This will help you balance your electrolytes and feel rehydrated! You can purchase Celtic Sea Salt here.

Switchels are another great way to balance electrolytes and stay properly hydrated. This is especially helpful during the summer, when working out, or when doing a lot of physical activity. Here is a yummy recipe you can try.

If you find yourself feeling fatigued, getting headaches, anxious or having decreased concentration then these can all be early signs of dehydration. Where heartburn, joint pain, back pain, constipation, and exercise asthma can all be signs of chronic dehydration.

Clean filtered water is vital to your health and healing as 55-60% of your body weight is water. It is easy to become dehydrated if you are drinking a lot of juice, soda or coffee. The reason for this is the amount of water it takes your body to process these drinks is greater than the amount of water in them.

Ever wondered what is in your water?

If you go to this website, you will be able to search for your local water source and see just that. I highly recommend checking it out. It is important to know what you are drinking, cooking your food in, bathing in, etc. As well as what impacts that may be having on your health.

Fluoride, chlorine, and bromine are often found in our tap water and all can compete with iodine in the thyroid. This can impact your thyroid function, your weight, your hormones, and so much more. An easy way to remember what will compete is by looking at the periodic table and seeing what elements are in the same column as iodine.

Filtering your water is the best way to remove these. However, if a filter isn’t in the budget at this time then here is one way to get fresh spring water. This website will help you find the nearest natural spring water source near you.

Bottom line is that water is necessary for true health and healing. Hydration is important to our blood pressure, organ health, lubricating joints, flushing toxins, transferring of nutrients between our cells, breathing, and so much more!

Staying hydrated is a simple way we can provide our body with what it needs to work optimally and heal!
